NetSuite:
NetSuite is a hosted online ERP solution for mid-size companies. Over the years (company was founded in 1998) the product has moved from a good end to end solution for small companies to a product that is being marketing to mid-size companies. Accessed via any web browser the product lends itself to companies that want “anywhere access” and little no to hardware investment.
Hansell & Associates, LLP was one of the original implementation consultants and some of our clients have been NetSuite subscribers for over 8 years.
While we have been involved with dozens of NS implemenations from start to finish, we have found an increasing number of clients come to us after the fact to cleanup/improve their existing impelmentation.

What we like:
• Broad range of functionality
• Access to your account wherever you have an internet connection.
• Can be used by any device with a browser.
• Great online bill pay solution (excluding the application security).
• Good time and expense capabilities, including workflow.
• Integrated functionality including e-commerce
What we don't like:
• No archiving capabilities. If you terminate your subscription you no longer have access to your account.
• A few of our clients have experienced a significant decline in performance after a few years of using NetSuite. Unfortunately you cannot archive the older data to improve the performance.
• Add on modules have become the norm, so new functionality is often accompanied with an increase license fees.
• Product has priced itself out of the market for most small businesses. If you look at total costs over a 5 year period this product gets very expensive (since the subscription costs are recurring and tend to increase.
Who should consider NS?
• Organizations that prefer a SAS (software as a service) model.
• Entities that need broad functionality and short implementation time.
• Drop ship e-commerce companies.
• Professional service companies that place a premium on "anywhere access".
